Wedding Dress Blog Tour

My Wedding Dress...*sigh* I have mixed feelings about it.  On one hand I loved it, it was beautiful, sparkly, romantic, soft and simple all at the same time...but in another way I almost wish I had tried on a few more gowns and found something else.  Something that looked better on me.  I feel the same way about the way my hair was fixed on our wedding day.  I loved it at the run through, but it didn't look as good on the day of the wedding.

I think, no, I KNOW if my mom had been there it would have been different.  I know she would have kept pushing me to look at more dresses rather than be pressured by the lady at the store (who didn't want me to try on more than 3-4...MAX) and she would have made the guy who did my hair fix it the exact way I wanted it.  I was so afraid of being "Bridezilla" I'm afraid I let people walk all over me in some areas.

ANYWAY!  Here are some pictures of my dress:

The Dress

My husband, me, my dad and all my brothers & sisters

At least my bouquet was perfect!
Exactly the way I wanted it to look, actually better than I expected!

We got married in 2008, so not too long ago.  And did I keep it? Yes, even though I looking back I may have done things differently it's still my wedding dress and I don't think I could ever sell it.  I still haven't gotten it cleaned or preserved though ;)  I should probably do that...

I love the idea of showing pictures of wedding dresses and stories about them.  I found this Wedding Dress Blog Tour through a few blogs I follow and it was started by Sasher's Life.  Check it out and join in!

I think you look gorgeous in your pics but what do i know?! :) I do think I will take your advice though and try on a whole bunch of gowns before I decide on just one when it's my turn to walk down the aisle.

I must say though, your bouquet IS perfect. Just lovely! :)

Hope you have a great weekend!

Stopping by via the wedding dress blog tour.
Even though it didn't turn out the way you wanted it...you still look amazing. I had a few of my own issues too. The bridesmaid dresses weren't exactly like I wanted them. The lady that sewed them, put this lace fringe around the waist. I had toyed with the idea of putting it there and I thought she was going to baste it in...but no...it was in to stay. And she was an ex-army sergent that I was afraid to tell her I didn't want it anymore.

it is a lovely dress...and your bouquet is beautiful...what is it about pushing wedding dress store people? They prey on the vulnerable! and we can't think straight when we are trying to make decisions like that! thanks for sharing!

I agree- you look stunning! I'd probably do a few things differently too if I had my time again but I guess that's a good reminder to me that it's not about a wedding - its about a marriage. And I'm thrilled with the marriage I have!

You looked amazing! Our dresses were very similar. I don't understand why people who work with brides are so pushy....it's supposed to be the best time in our lives and they make us make decisions we don't want to make. Grrr.

I agree that you look stunning in your dress (even if you have mixed feelings) and your bouquet is TDF!
